Oh, I find this so hard to say, because I wanted to like this drama so much. But I think it is so over hyped. It has been getting high ratings in South Korea and I can’t help but to think it’s based on the star power of the two leads, Shin Min-a (from Oh My Venus) and Kim Seon Ho (from Start Up). I think if it was in lesser known hands, it would not have been rated so high.

My Secret Romance is a pure candy fluffy romantic comedy. It is only 14 episodes at about 45 minutes each. But it honestly should have been 10 episodes at 30 minutes each. The first 10 episodes were cheesy cliché-filled goodness. Yes, cue the arrogant jerk chaebol and the kind hearted innocent poor girl troupe.
This show had everything I can want out of a romantic comedy: adorable banter, natural relationship progression, characters who make each other better people, smoldering sexual tension and smoking hot kiss scenes.
Most of all, I thought that Hotel Del Luna did a great job tackling the concept of death. It was a story about death and accepting that it will happen to all of us.
What is great about Splash Splash LOVE is that in 2 episodes, the writers know exactly how to pace the drama, where it is going, how to develop the characters and there is no need for extra fluff to fill out a 16 hour drama.
감사합니다 kamsamnnida to the writers, cast and crew for giving us a terrific Season 2! The same winning format was used with every episode focusing on different patients and our favorite crew of Yuljie doctor’s taking care of them.
Moonlight Drawn By Clouds hooked me in pretty quickly. By episode 2 I was in binge mode.
Man to Man is an action-romantic-comedy. When the action and comedy was done right, I enjoyed the show a lot. The romance and the female lead was a total bust
Her Private Life is a drama that will appeal to anyone that has been a fangirl. It also has a beautiful lead couple with some really swoony scenes. I love their healthy relationship and it felt a lot more mature of a relationship than a lot of the teen/coming of age dramas I’ve seen lately. I thought the show faltered in the later half with some unnecessary plot devices that didn’t add to the story, but instead brought it down.
I jumped right into this show and didn’t read anything about it first. I found it an enjoyable watch. So after I finished watching, I was very surprised how polarizing this drama was when I read others reviews and comments.
