Oh, I find this so hard to say, because I wanted to like this drama so much. But I think it is so over hyped. It has been getting high ratings in South Korea and I can’t help but to think it’s based on the star power of the two leads, Shin Min-a (from Oh My Venus) and Kim Seon Ho (from Start Up). I think if it was in lesser known hands, it would not have been rated so high.

My Secret Romance is a pure candy fluffy romantic comedy. It is only 14 episodes at about 45 minutes each. But it honestly should have been 10 episodes at 30 minutes each. The first 10 episodes were cheesy cliché-filled goodness. Yes, cue the arrogant jerk chaebol and the kind hearted innocent poor girl troupe.
Man to Man is an action-romantic-comedy. When the action and comedy was done right, I enjoyed the show a lot. The romance and the female lead was a total bust
It only took me 7 months, but I have finally finished reviewing all 31 dramas I watched in 2020! At first I thought that was a lot. With the A list cast of Park Bo Young and Seo In Guk, my expectations were high going into this drama. The first 6 episodes captivated and hooked me. Then the downhill slide started. Most of the blame is on the writers and the plot execution.
I liked that this show had very relatable plot with the struggles young 20-somethings deal with in regards to pursing your dreams and trying to make a living.
Mr. Queen took me on a see-saw ride with really funny moments, followed by draggy politics and edge of your seat cliff hangers. The cliff hangers are probably what had me holding on to the show until the very end. I just couldn’t see where this drama was going and how it was going to end.
True Beauty is a high school drama tackling the issue of school violence and beauty standards in South Korea. This show had a lot of the same vibes as My ID is Gangnam Beauty. But it wasn’t only the premise that was the same, it is because they share the same lead, Astro’s Cha Eun Woo.
Overall, Tail of the Nine Tailed is a complicated plot filled with a lot of holes and illogical situations and unanswered questions. It keeps you in suspense with a cliff hanger at the end of every episode and it kept you watching because you are trying to figure out what the heck is happening and have no idea where it is going to go.
Over all, this was a rather predictable drama, but it was presented in a fun a humorous way. I enjoyed the villagers and the humor written into the story. The acting was on par and I liked it enough to binge and finish this drama in 4 days.
