Something in the Rain is a slow placed romance/melodrama showing the struggles that a single woman in her 30’s face with society pressures to get married, finding love, gender discrimination and sexual harassment. I really enjoyed the first half of the drama and then I got frustrated a lot during the second half when it turned really melodramatic and angst heavy.

Hometown Cha Cha Cha – Kdrama Review
Oh, I find this so hard to say, because I wanted to like this drama so much. But I think it is so over hyped. It has been getting high ratings in South Korea and I can’t help but to think it’s based on the star power of the two leads, Shin Min-a (from Oh My Venus) and Kim Seon Ho (from Start Up). I think if it was in lesser known hands, it would not have been rated so high.
My Secret Romance – Kdrama Review
My Secret Romance is a pure candy fluffy romantic comedy. It is only 14 episodes at about 45 minutes each. But it honestly should have been 10 episodes at 30 minutes each. The first 10 episodes were cheesy cliché-filled goodness. Yes, cue the arrogant jerk chaebol and the kind hearted innocent poor girl troupe.
Tune in for Love
Tune in for Love is a slow and somewhat melancholy movie about two people in the lower socioeconomic class of South Korea who are fighting to survive and find themselves.
Legend of the Blue Sea – Kdrama Review
I really really wanted to like this drama, but it fell short for me. The beginning vibes of the drama made me feel like it was a mash up between Leonardo di Caprio’s Catch Me If You Can, Disney’s The Little Mermaid and the mega Kdrama blockbuster My Love from the Star.
The Liar and His Lover – Kdrama Review
The Liar and his Lover was an okay watch if you got nothing else going on, but it is also quickly a forgettable watch.
Man to Man – Kdrama Review
Man to Man is an action-romantic-comedy. When the action and comedy was done right, I enjoyed the show a lot. The romance and the female lead was a total bust
The K2 – Kdrama Review
Oh K2, I wanted to like you so much. You started off with a bang, but at episode 5 you started your down hill slide that never stopped. What went so wrong?
2020 Year In Review
It only took me 7 months, but I have finally finished reviewing all 31 dramas I watched in 2020! At first I thought that was a lot. But to justify it in my head, it really is only an average of 2.5 dramas a month and thanks to covid, we were in a stay at … Continue reading 2020 Year In Review
The Prince of Tennis – Match! Tennis Juniors: Cdrama Review
I ended up enjoying this drama a lot more than I thought I would. The plot is simple and you know where it’s going, so it is about the action to get you there. Since it is in the Japanese anime style, all the matches are edited with the manga feel of exaggerated/impossible tennis swings and action. It’s not realistic, but it really is fun!
